50th Anniversary Sorrento Lions Easter Egg Hunt & Bonnet Contest
This year is a very special year for the Sorrento Lions Club as the organization celebrates their 50th anniversary! Always a popular event, this year’s Easter celebration lands on Easter Day, April 5. Kids are invited to participate in an all-ages Easter Egg Hunt & Bonnet Contest, which starts at 11 am sharp at Sorrento/Blind Bay Community Park. Shuswap Fire Department will be bringing the Easter Bunny to greet families, and the River of Life Church will be serving coffee and hot chocolate. Get creative - there will be prizes for the best bonnets! For more information, visit https://e-clubhouse.org/sites/sorrentobc.
Village Grocer Colouring Contest & Easter Bunny Visit
Kids are invited to pick up a colouring sheet at Village Grocer in Blind Bay or Sorrento and enter the annual Easter Colouring Contest. Return your beautifully decorated colouring sheets to one of the stores to be put on display (and don’t forget to put your name and phone number on the back). A random winner will receive a giant basket of Easter goodies, to be announced on April 4.
Also on April 4, the Easter Bunny will be visiting Village Grocer locations to hand out treats! Meet the Easter Bunny at Village Grocer in Sorrento from 10 am to 11 am or at Blind Bay Village Grocer from 12 pm to 1 pm.
Chase Lions Easter Egg-stravaganza
Our neighbours in Chase will be welcoming families to participate in the annual Easter Egg-stravaganza, hosted by Chase Lions Club, on April 5, 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. The free event begins with a bicycle parade that will leave the Pharmachoice parking lot at 11 am (line up starts at 10:30 am). There will be an Easter egg hunt, fun and games and face painting at Willson Park after the bicycle parade arrives. Chase Rotary Club will be serving up hot dogs.
