Nominate a South Shuswap Volunteer by May 22!

By Jo Boxwell

Since we launched the First Annual South Shuswap Scoop Volunteer Awards in April to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Scoop, we have received some wonderful nominations that highlight how important volunteers and volunteer-powered non-profits are to our communities. Thank you to everyone who has submitted a nomination so far! We will be sharing more information about the nominees in our June issue.

If you have been inspired by a South Shuswap volunteer, there’s still time to nominate them for an award and let them know how much they are appreciated. From community hall volunteers to medical first responders, we need your help to identify the people who go above and beyond for the benefit of others in the South Shuswap. We will be recognizing individual volunteers in three categories: Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer Lifetime Impact and Outstanding Volunteer First Responder.

The South Shuswap is home to numerous non-profits that span the arts, economic development, healthcare, sports, transportation and more. If a local organization means a lot to you, consider nominating them for the Non-Profit Community Impact Award.

Remember that nominee volunteers and organizations need to be based in the South Shuswap (CSRD Electoral Areas C & G) or have been based in the area during the period they volunteered.

Nominate Today!

The last day to nominate is May 22, so hop onto our website and fill out a nomination form. It only takes a few minutes:
